Beyonce’s two disc album introduces her alto-ego Sasha Fierce with two different sides to the singer, which she felt couldn’t be mixed.
Disc 1 contains more ballads and classic R&B songs and Disc 2 shows her fiesty side with more adventerous ‘electro’ songs. Both discs contain a number of her UK successful releases including ‘Halo’, ‘Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)’, ‘Sweet Dream’ and ‘If I Were A Boy’.
I preferred the first disc of this album, with ‘Halo’ and ‘Disappear’ standing out as my favourites. But with too many songs that are not memorable I think this album would of been best fitted to one disc and losing mediocre songs such as ‘Video Phone’ and ‘That’s Why You’re Beautiful’.
Overall Beyonce’s third solo album includes a number of catchy good songs and shows off what a versatile artist she is.
