Mind of Music

Black Eyed Peas – The E.N.D.

I bought this album a while ago when it was first released in June 2009, skipped through the tracks and never listened to it since. For some reason, from this one quick listen, I had got the impression that it wasn’t very good. It just goes to show how every album should be listened to again before it can be properly judged.

I decided to give ‘The E.N.D’ another listen after hearing it on in my friend’s car, and my sister constantly telling me what a good album it was and that she ‘couldn’t believe I hadn’t listened to it more’. Soon as I put it on I could see how good it was, putting me in a good ‘party’ mood, when I was feeling down.

Stand out songs for me include ‘Rockin To The Beat’, ‘Alive’, and ’Party All the Time’ aswell as the singles that have already been released from this album, ‘Boom Boom Pow’, ‘Meet Me Halfway’, ’I Gotta Feeling’ and the latest single ‘Rock That Body’, all of which I love.

I think seven stand out songs is pretty good going, especially for an album which on first listen I did not like. There isn’t a song on the album that I could say I dislike, overall it is a feel good album and just makes me want to go out and dance.
